What are the career aspects of rapid prototyping?

- Rapid prototyping is a methodology which is used in software development. Another methodology is the waterfall method. Both serve their purpose in the right environment, so I would suggest you learn both methods. There is a high demand for GOOD rapid prototyping. There are lots of code monkeys out there, but only a few who are good at rapid development. If you can differentiate yourself from the pack, you will have many options. Always be aware that bad rapid prototyping can easily lead to buggy software and spaghetti code. And please, please, please, always document your code no matter what methodology you use!!!
- This is a technique available to people who have the right tools. In my experience, a company hires us to do certain kinds of work, and makes certain technologies available to us to do that work. This may or may not include the ability to do rapid prototyping. You won't know in the job advertising if they have that or not. So including it on your resume will help you get an interview where that is an important element of the total work. But this is only one of dozens of skills you need to list.
