rapid prototyping? what material should i use for sand casting?

what is the best material out there to rapid prototype a part from when using it for a sand cast mold?

1. zinc - easy to melt and shape, and cheap. Just be careful of zinc fumes, work in a ventilated area and use a respirator.
2. Maybe you should consider a rapid prototyping service. You probably want to choose a system that produces a good prototype that has dimensional stability over time, so I'd avoid sterolithography and choose one that uses a plastic material.
