Technology - What kind of technology needs moral compass?

What kind of technology needs moral compass?

What kind of technology or discovery needs moral compass where it might be beneficial but at the same time needs ethnical reasoning. For example, while in vitro can give genes to unborn babies to make them able to be donors, donating something major like a kidney could be dangerous to the donor. I already have examples like cloning and gene manipulation. I just need another technology or discovery that needs moral understanding.
